The list contains 40 outstanding Austrian scientists who tell why open access matters.
Wiley is responding to recent developments in funder and government policies and supports the sustainable evolution of scientific publishing. The change will be implemented immediately. The Wiley Open Access portfolio also includes journals published with society partners, many of which will similarly transfer to the Creative Commons Attribution license.

Die Universität hat dazu einen Publikationsfonds für die Finanzierung von Artikelbearbeitungsgebühren eingerichtet. Der für 2012 erstmals bereitgestellte Fonds umfasst 30.000 Euro. Bei der Vergabe der Fördermittel wird der wissenschaftliche Nachwuchs bevorzugt behandelt.

This fall, edX will offer seven MOOCs: artificial intelligence and software engineering from Berkeley, computer science and biostatistics and epidemiology from Harvard, and an introduction to solid state chemistry and an introduction to computer science and programming from M.I.T., along with another round of the circuits course it offered as a prototype.
Anant Agarwal, the president of edX, said that more than 120 universities around the world had expressed interested in working with the partnership.

The Finch report has stated that universities will have to be increasingly efficient in the way they pay for open access publishing in the form of article processing charges (APCs).
Responding to the recommendation, JISC and the Wellcome Trust, on behalf of the UK Open Access Implementation Group (OAIG) are commissioning work to investigate how we can help universities, publishers and funders manage the charges efficiently and also what role an intermediary might play in making the process work smoothly.
